This downhill mile is blazing fast for top athletes looking to fly! Elites runners can also compete for cash prizes which go to the top 3 men and women, given they've qualified.*

Race Details


The race takes place along Main Street in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, July 9th at 8:00AM

Participants, over the age of 12, will receive a 1 Mile chip timed race, and a race specific tech t-shirt.
Kids aged 12 and under, have the option of purchasing a bib and t-shirt during checkout.
Otherwise registration for kids 12 and under is FREE.

Packet Pick-Up will take place on Friday, July 8th from 11:00AM - 6:00PM at Running Central (311 SW Water St. Peoria, IL).
Late packet pick-up will be available on race day from 7:00AM - 7:45AM in the public parking lot near the starting line.
It is located a half block west of the intersection of Main Street and Sheridan Road.

PRICING - April 15th through June 1st $20. June 2 through July 8th $25. Race day $30

Parking - Please note: There is no parking at the start of the race. Parking is available downtown.
Please note that all participants are responsible to get themselves to the starting line for their respective heats.
**There are no shuttles from downtown to the starting line.**

Waves

The are a total of 4 waves that will take place. They are as follows:

  • Recreational

    Starts at 8:00AM - Families, Walkers, Strollers, Dog Walkers, Mascots, etc...

  • Competitive Women

    - Women who are looking to run fast and try for a personal best.

  • Competitive Men

    - Men who are looking to run fast and try for a personal best.

  • Elite

    - Runners must be faster than 5:30 pace for women and 5:00 pace for men.

Awards

There are both age group awards and prize money available for the elite wave.

  • Elite Awards

  • Prize money for the top three eligible* male and female finishers in the elite wave.

  • 1st Place - $1,200
  • 2nd Place - $800
  • 3rd Place - $500

Eligibility - Men must be under 4:00 and Women under 4:50 to be eligible for prize money.
